Your ability to express the beauty and truth of who you are has been taught out of you by learning practices that sought for sameness and saw not your differences as the gifts they are. All of these learning practices were the product of false images of the way things—and you—should be! Can you not see the extreme urgency of not perpetuating such a practice? You are a self in whom the freedom of expression has been diminished. Diminished, but not extinguished. Now we return to you the freedom and the will to fan the flames of your desire to be, and to express, who you are in truth.
Paraphrasing The Dialogues, Day 9, verses 27-30
Being who you are in truth is the call and the need of this time. Who “you” are.
Thank you for being who you are.
So much for school uniforms…and set exams…I hear J. Krishnamurti agreeing! Do we not see this being played out in Afghanistan, where restriction of freedom of expression, i.e. the feminine has become a religious dogma?
Thank you, Mqri.
Ben, this is so beautiful, spoken with such passion. Thank you for the real-world example of Afghanistan. There are so many restrictions that are caused by external forces. And so many caused by what we’ve learned too. Which is really the same thing in many ways, and the call to unlearning that Jesus makes so clear. And the call to feeling and passion that Mary extends–which is ultimately the combining of the feminine and masculine, the inner and outer, time and eternity. Thank you!
Thank you for your light and your voice, I have received such grace from reading your books and words. I can absolutely see the extreme urgency of not perpetuating such a practice. But boy can it feel uncomfortable and inconvenient. I feel as if I am burning through a layer of resistance that I never knew was there, as if I was hiding and did not know it. When speaking to spiritual friends recently I felt hit with the resistance I am moving through. I can only hope the more I speak out when guided, the more comfortable it will feel. I don’t feel the need to change anyones mind, but I do feel the need to speak my truth. When speaking I try to lead with love, but that certainly does not mean I am heard. How do you, be in your light and navigate the resistance of the world around you?
Teresa, I appreciate this response so much. I haven’t shared this yet, in a public way (I don’t think), but I had “come to me” recently this simple phrase. I wasn’t writing, just doing something ordinary, in the kitchen I think, when this plopped in.
IT IS TIME TO BE UNAPOLOGETICALLY WHO I AM
Did I realize I was walking around with an apologetic attitude? No! To some I was apologetic for being spiritual and to some for being human. Often I was apologetic for not living up to my own standards. We all have a lot of inner programing to dislodge. But we are doing it! It’s the UNDOING. In the second Treatise, we call this “undoing” an act of creation! And now it is all about creation of The New. Thank you for DARING to be who you are.
Thank You Mari!
Just love the saying, and
I am going to be unapologetically who I am!
Much Love,
Teresa
Yes, thank you Mari !
Thank you, Truze
Thank you, Mari, for being who You are!
Something interesting — I have seen “The Jesus Chronicles” listed here up top, and have looked at it; however, because it was mentioned in Mirari: The Way of the Marys, which I am now re-reading with a few others, it is being drawn to my attention — this time with deep resonance.
Those words from Jesus — “Keep your candle lit for me” also stirred something in my heart. This happened on Monday November 1 “All Saints Day” (reading Mirari).
A friend with whom I am re- reading Mirari was amazed when I pointed her to “The Jesus Chronicles.” My friend replied (I am sure she does not mind my sharing): “Yet another resource from Mari. That woman is a Saint!” Blessed Be, Mari, for all you have brought into my life, our lives, extending the grace of the cosmos. 💗
Lynn, Thank you so much, and thanks to your friend! I have recently been reviewing my Jesus writing for more to post. These old messages never feel old. And it never feels old to hear that they, or any of this holy writing, extends grace.
Jesus writing More to post — sounds wonderful. 🙏
I feel such an immense fire to Be and express Who I Am. Been holding back soooo seemingly long. I set my Self Free Now!!!!
Thank You. Blessings ✨
Danny, how wonderful! You’ve made my day! It makes me recall Mary’s opening words in Mirari — to tend the fire. Here’s to not holding back the flame of who you are.
