Although the mood was lively with reports of what had transpired, it was not long before I could see that all of us were admitting to ourselves, if not each other, that it was the beginning of the end.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

I contemplate the end of the old and the beginning of The New. I see and feel how hard it can be, even among friends, to acknowledge endings. I realize that when I strive for acceptance too soon, I am \u201cnot\u201d accepting what I feel. Acceptance is not found in the struggle to feel differently than I do.<\/span><\/p>\n

When I cannot yet speak, it is evident that the pause is necessary and natural. I feel my desire to recognize and accept not only my inner knowing, but the manner of its movement into being.<\/span><\/p>\n
